What a bunch of crap. Be interesting to see how bad the actual truck is.

I had a bike for sale on Kijiji, just sold it. Some guy calls and offers me $100 for it (it was listed at 500 at the time), says it's because he needs bikes older than 1990 for some charity race he holds. I say, "well, that's pretty cool, and kudos on the charity thing, but I can't afford to donate $400 to charity at the moment, I'm not even working". He counters with some crap about how I shouldn't be so selfish yadda yadda. I asked him what charity it was, he stuttered then hung up the phone.

Next night, someone else calls from the same prefix (Somewhere out in Crowsnest I guess) and tries the same thing! Jeeze! I can't believe they thought they'd get away with it, just because someone else called.

I since dropped the price and sold it right away, but as was stated at the beginning of the thread by someone else, I always start way high and drop as time goes on, unless I need a quick sale.

This caught my eye on kijij http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ220783103

It needs wheels and lowered suspension, but could be cool with the patina. I emailed the girl asking if it was Alberta registered, she replies yes. Rather than waste a bunch of time I email back asking what the bottom line on price was. She gets all huffy suggesting how dare I have the nerve to ask such a thing and now the price is $ 5000 instead of the $4k advertised because I insulted her.

I told her if she had a $ 5K buyer good for her, but it wasn't worth that to me. $ 3000 yes, $3500 maybe , but who needs the attitiude ? not me. Listen honey its not my fault you're short of money and need to sell your bondo bucket F100, Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay....I've learned that the hard way.

I bought some parts from a guy once who's ad said he was out of work and needed the money in a hurry. I go to his house to get the parts and find a less than one year old home well north of a half a million in value. As we talk about cars etc he mentions other stuff he has down at "the shop". Hmm thought you were out of work. 6 months later I see an ad from the same guy and he's still out of work. Yeah right. But the price was right for what I bought so I didn't care.
