Default Vintage Rods flyer ideas needed

Blanchae came up with a good idea of having a flyer on the site that people can print off and take to show and shines ect. and hand out or leave in peoples cars.

I think 8.5 by 11 black and white would be fine

Aside from the vintage rods logo ( not including the sedan ) plus the URL address of www.vintagerods.ca what would you guys like to see for a " blurb "

I need some suggestions on what to say the site is about?

I think it needs to reflect we are not into trailer queens, but by the same token I don't want it to come off as snobish. I welcome all kinds of cars and I think the blurb should reflect that.

Arto will be doing the actual artwork.

Lets here some real ideas. !

I think it's a great idea. I just haven't had any good ideas for it yet.

"Vintage Rods - an online community without car elitists or snobs. Just a group of folks who learn about, work on, drive and appreciate all kinds of vintage rides."

    something like that perhaps.

Here's what I've come up with so far, text-wise:
"Vintage Rods is Western Canada's premier web community for the retro-minded hot rod and custom enthusiast. No BS, no bad attitudes, just chrome, primer, vintage tin and tire smoke."

I kinda dig the "no trailer queens" thing, though, might have to work that in too...

(Thoroughly-incomplete piles o' parts don't count as trailer queens, do they? )

    Default Here's my input..

I usually end up sounding like reading a science journal but here goes: add to existing copy:

Membership is free and all pre 1970s era makes and models of hot rods, customs and retro cars and trucks are welcome. This is a hands on, roll up your sleeves, do it yourself kind of site where you can share your experiences whether your new to the scene or vintage yourself!

Default Here's my take on the flyer

Probable doesn't fit on an 8.5x11 sheet properly and is in color but what the heck..

Along with "arto" and "blanchaes" comments, this is a start, however, would suggest dropping the year reference.
The vintage concept can be applied to newer vehicles too.

It's ready.....big thanks to arto for the artwork. The best part is that it is original.

Print it off and go forth vintagerods members !
