Default Body Adhesive instead of welding?

I have never used body adhesive, but I have a couple of patches to do in my 62 Dodge D300 on the interior floor around the rusted out body mounts.

I was planning on fabbing up a couple of panels just a bit bigger than the cutout and put them in from underneath and use the body adhesive to secure the panels in place. the panels would include the body mounts.

I have heard this stuff is incredibly strong. Anyone use the stuff to say whether this approach would work??

I would say it would werk..............

but it has to be really clean................

but if it was me I would weld any body mounts

    just my 2 cents

if it was a simple floor patch i would have no problem with bonding it, but i wouldn't do it on a cab mount i would be welding for sure

The local body shop quit using adhesive, apparently the stuff isn't waterproof and the join rusts out in no time.
